The Journal of Insect Biology and Applied Entomology (JIBAE) supports transparency, reproducibility and integrity in scientific research by encouraging authors to make the data underlying their published work available whenever possible.
Sharing research data improves scientific collaboration, enables verification of published findings and promotes the advancement of knowledge within the global research community.
Authors are encouraged to retain and share the data, materials and supporting information necessary to validate the results presented in their manuscripts. Data should be accurate, complete and available in accordance with ethical, legal and institutional requirements.
Where data cannot be shared due to confidentiality, privacy, legal or ethical restrictions, authors should clearly explain these limitations in the manuscript.
Authors should include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript describing where the supporting research data can be accessed or explaining why access is restricted.
Experimental observations, measurements, laboratory results and field data supporting the published study.
Original images, photographs, charts, graphs and illustrations used in the research.
Computer programs, scripts, algorithms and software used for data analysis or research.
Additional datasets, tables, protocols or supporting documents that enhance the published article.
Certain research data may not be publicly available due to legal, ethical, privacy, commercial or institutional restrictions. In such cases, authors should clearly explain the reason for restricting access and provide information on how qualified researchers may request access where appropriate.
Editors may request access to supporting data during peer review or editorial evaluation if clarification or verification of research findings is required. Failure to provide supporting data without reasonable justification may affect editorial decisions.
Providing accurate and accessible research data strengthens scientific credibility, enables independent verification of results and supports reproducibility of published research. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of all submitted data.
The Journal of Insect Biology and Applied Entomology encourages responsible research data management and supports open scientific communication while respecting ethical, legal and confidentiality requirements.
