Role of Reviewers

Reviewer Responsibilities

Review Criteria

Evaluate the research design, methodology, data analysis and reliability of results.

Relevance

Determine whether the manuscript fits the aims and scope of insect biology and applied entomology.

Clarity

Assess the structure, language, presentation of figures, tables and overall readability.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, copy, distribute, discuss or use manuscript content for personal or professional advantage before publication.

Conflict of Interest

Any potential conflict should be reported to the Editorial Office immediately.

Timeliness

Reviewer Recommendations

After evaluation, reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept after minor revision
  • Major revision required
  • Resubmit after substantial revision
  • Reject

Constructive Feedback
