Editorial Process

The Journal of Insect Biology and Applied Entomology (JIBAE) follows a transparent, fair and efficient editorial process to ensure that all submitted manuscripts are evaluated solely on their scientific quality, originality and relevance to the journal's scope.

Every submission undergoes a rigorous editorial assessment and double-blind peer review while maintaining confidentiality, research integrity and ethical publishing standards.

Editorial Workflow

Step 1: Manuscript Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through the journal's online submission system following the Author Guidelines.

Step 2: Initial Screening

The Editorial Office checks the manuscript for completeness, formatting, scope, plagiarism and ethical compliance.

Step 3: Editor Evaluation

The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor evaluates the scientific relevance, originality and suitability for peer review.

Step 4: Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review to independent subject experts for detailed evaluation.

Step 5: Reviewer Comments

Reviewers assess originality, methodology, scientific quality, presentation and significance of the research.

Step 6: Author Revision

Authors revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments and submit a detailed response to each suggestion.

Step 7: Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision or Reject.

Step 8: Production & Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, layout formatting and online publication.

Peer Review Process

JIBAE follows a Double-Blind Peer Review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. This ensures impartiality, fairness and unbiased scientific evaluation.

Editorial Decision

After peer review, the editorial office communicates one of the following decisions to the corresponding author:

  • Accepted without revision
  • Accepted after minor revision
  • Major revision required
  • Resubmission for further review
  • Rejected

Publication Ethics

The editorial team follows internationally accepted publication ethics and research integrity guidelines. Every manuscript is evaluated for originality, ethical compliance and scientific validity before publication.

All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before peer review. Any unethical publication practices may result in immediate rejection.
